Executives Network Expands to East Coast New York City and Boston meetings start in June.
PHOENIX, Ariz. – May 13, 2009 – Executives Network, a networking organization focused on the job search, is expanding to the East Coast. Beginning in June, monthly job-networking meetings will be held in New York City and Boston. With the additional locations, Executives Network now holds meetings in 10 cities throughout the U.S.
"If East Coast business executives are serious about landing their next position sooner rather than later, then they need our powerful job-networking model,” said Executives Network President and CEO Molly Wendell. “With our network-focused approach and proprietary national database of contacts, we have the most effective system for landing that next position.”
Wendell herself was once out of work for two years and three days until she figured out networking was the key for making the necessary connections for finding employment. Using her newfound techniques, she then received nearly 30 job offers in 90 days. With Executives Network, Wendell has helped more than 2,500 people land new jobs. In addition to overseeing job-networking meetings nationwide, Wendell also regularly hosts national teleconference calls and shares her job-search tips during news media interviews. Her top tips include firing the online job boards, networking with people face-to-face, and targeting specific companies.
Fortunately, East Coast executives in the job search may have a slightly easier time than others at landing a new position. While unemployment in other parts of the country have remained unchanged or become worse, it has actually improved slightly between February and March for Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and other East Coast states.
Despite the economy, it’s a fact that companies are always hiring good people. You just have to know how to network to find and connect with the key people at these companies,” said Wendell.
Beginning June 17, the Boston meetings are the third Wednesday of each month; and beginning June 19, the New York City meetings are the third Friday of each month.
