Keep them handy - for when you meet with people and want to take some notes. Even better, write something down (like a lead or contact), and hand it to the person you're meeting with.

Don't have your meeting over the phone (or worse, over email!!). Your phone call to the target person is to get a meeting!
If it's an Executives Network person, the goal may not be to get a meeting, but simply to get a referral. Then use the Getting a Meeting strategy with the person in which you were referred.
