GIve me the next three minutes and I'll teach you how to....

Let's face it. Every event you go to someone wants to corner you in a discussion that is neither the right time or the right place for. It happens every single time. Every. Single. Time. And then what do you do? You look for possible exit strategies to no avail. So, you do what you need to do. And get out of that conversation in the most expedient way possible - reputation be damned.

You're not alone. Every executive is going through the same thing.

But what if there was a better way. What if you could get out of any conversation, any one at all, with your reputation intact.

What if you knew exactly what to say. Exactly what to do. And instead of worrying about how you could get out of the conversation before it began, you could simply focus on that person and what they need to tell you, and know that you can depart at any point in time. On your timeline, not theirs!

I'm an expert at networking. I've studied networking from every angle and figured out the way to ensure you, as an executive, your time is protected in a way that enables you to have what you need to deliver on the demands your position requires.... without being drained by the guy who wants to corner you in a corner.

Here's what you do. Next time you get cornered in the corner, invite someone else into the conversation. Introduce the people to each other, get them talking, and then quietly excuse yourself. It's that simple. The key, though, is that you can't excuse yourself when it's just you and one other person. You always need three - or even four people - to enable you to make a getaway with your reputation intact.

Let me tell you what happened with ....I'm going to give you...

This is the one thing you need today... but actually, the real question we ought be asking is "Why are you in a room speaking with someone you don't want to." What if you were in a room filled with people you don't want...

three ... are going to begin the journey..

"For years, I've been stuck talking to people who wanted my time, but I didn't want their time. When Molly first taught me The Art of Getting Unstuck, I thought it would never work. I mean, it's so simple. And here's what I learned. So simple. Yet so effective. Now I walk into a networking event with confidence because I know I'm in control. I know that I can speak with whom I want. For how long I want. That I can leave whenever I want... without looking like I'm too good for everyone else."
